Our Mission Statement:
The Great Commission of Mt. 28:18-20 has two components that are part of making disciples. One part is getting them started as a disciple (that's what "baptizing" refers to). The other part is taking disciples deeper in their faith and commitment (that's what "teaching them to observe" refers to). The mature believer is involved in both those parts. The mature congregation is involved in both parts, locally as well as far away. That's our mission.
Our Vision Statement:
We aspire to bring people to Christ, equip disciples, as well as develop local and global missionaries. It's an ongoing, healthy cycle that we strive to achieve in a balanced way. True, some will be burdened and gifted to accomplish one part more than the other, but together we work to accomplish it all.
Faith Church
The congregation's been around for over 125 years. Our affiliation with the EFCA (see below) began about 40 years ago. We are part of the Allegheny District of the EFCA.
